Written by Saul Caganoff | Sep 1, 2020 1:00:00 AM

APIdays Australia LIVE is happening on September 15th and 16th - only two weeks away - and registrations are open now.

Speakers this year are beaming in from across the world, which leads to an interesting timezone dimension in our agenda. But timeanddate.com is your friend and we've arranged four legendary speakers to book-end the day with keynotes from the US in the morning and locknotes from Europe in the afternoon.

Mike Amundsen is speaking about "High Performing APIs: Architecting for Speed and Scale". Mike is a legend in the API community, having authored several books on web APIs and microservices. Mike is a regular keynote speaker at APIdays and it’s a great pleasure to welcome him back this year. Mike is famous for his thoughtful and erudite talks which carry a very human message along with technical insights.

According to the European Commission's Digital Economy & Society Index (DESI), Finland is the most advanced digital economy in Europe. Joining us from Finland for our first locknote is Marjukka Niinioja,  an active consultant, author, speaker and trainer. Marjukka is the  creator of the APIOps Cycles method which brings together business, marketing, CX and technology specialists into a holistic method for API program management.

Day two begins with a keynote from legendary engineer Mary Poppendieck. Mary hardly needs introduction as she is famous as a founder and driving force behind the Lean Software movement with a series of books co-authored with her husband Tom. Mary brings to APIdays the insights from many years experience as a software engineer and architect with her talk "Where do Great Architectures Come From?".

Amancio Bouza closes the conference with our day two locknote. Amancio is co-author of "API Product Management" - a guide to creating, launching and running API products that customers love. Amancio tells us that the key to a great API is a great value proposition - the VPI. Amancio shows how to cut through the noise of API design constraints, architectural styles, governance etc and focus on delivering value to the customer.

The full program for APIdays Australia is now available on our website. Check it out and register now to attend via your screens, notepads and headphones - live or on-demand in September.
